San Ferdinando is in a strategic position to discover Calabria. Lying on the Tyrrhenian coast and full of potential, with a recent but intense history, small but with great challenges ahead, it is the mirror of a true and welcoming south, capable of always renewing itself and in spite of everything.

12 reasons, among others, why it is worth knowing.

In San Ferdinando you can, if you want, even send your car on holiday. All the places of greatest interest can be reached in 10’ on foot from the central square and you can use the bike even if you are not trained because the town is totally flat.

On spring and summer afternoons, the central square of the town and the one on the seafront are transformed into an open-air playground where children play together and make friends with the little tourists. And if they like, they can also decide to play dance or psychomotricity games outdoors followed by a specialized instructor (info). San Ferdinando is a welcoming and fun place for children too.

While the children play, you can decide to read a book on one of the nearby benches, have an excellent ice cream, sip a glass of wine while enjoying the incomparable sunsets, drink a local almond milk or a bergamot juice or the typical carbonated Calabrian coffee, make friends with other or simply have a chat with one of the many local old men who will tell you the story of San Ferdinando or that of his life. The San Ferdinando’s community will welcome and host you with open arms and hearts.
